I apologize in advance.

It seems as though the phrase,
"The older you are, the wiser you get"
doesn't seem to quite apply in real life.

Well, not for me at least.

It seems like more of a,
"The older you get, the angrier you are".

It's the start of a new year and this is how it begins.

Why do you not see that you spoil her?
You deny it incessantly.

I may be wrong to judge by thinking she doesn't appreciate what you do
but does she?

When I bring it up,
you get angry and hush me to drop it.

Don't you understand?

The reason WHY you feel like this is because it's true.

You DO spoil her.

I'm not saying I'm jealous coz' I'm not.
I'm glad you don't spoil me the way you spoil her.

I just want you to know that some things you do,
may not be as significant to her as it is to you.

So don't expect too much.

I don't know why we aren't on the same page anymore.
And I deeply regret it.

Don't know why I keep pulling away.

I feel like I'm going further,
breaking the bonds and overcoming the forces (lol, Mr. Sheat).

But yeah, I think I'm drifting away and it sucks.
I don't want to but I am.

Hopefully this is just a temporary thing.

I really, REALLY want this to be a temporary thing.

But honestly,
People do seem to be angrier as they age.
Maybe it's just me.

Been doing a lot of thinking lately
and it's leading me no where,
besides sleepless nights.

On another note, why do people say,
"I think you can do better".

What's wrong with what I'm doing now??

Is it such a bad decision?

Do I actually need your approval to what I plan to do?

Who cares if it's not a "glamour" job?

You keep asking if I'm happy and I actually am,
but you ask me day after day after day,
what do you want me to say?

"Surprise, just kidding! I actually dislike it.
What to do, what to do."

Of course not!!
I'm actually proud to be going into such a profession.

Why do you, of ALL people think it's beneath me?

It's such an admirable duty, to serve the people.

My parents approving of what I'm doing is all that counts to me.

Say all you want. But they're pretty much all I need.

I'm gonna be one HECK of a nurse
and I'll show you what I've got and what we can do.

Need to fully get this out of my system and move on from it.

Last sigh of frustration and I'm done.

My answer:

It really was just naivety.
A head-strong individual who seemed to only be one-tracked.

Psychology is not my major.
For now and 10 years down the road,
the future job opportunities may be scarce.

It may change.
But why take the risk.

I mean, if I really am interested in the mere future,
only when I have a stable background
with an excess income,
would I plan to major in psychology.

For now,
my mind has changed and I'm in total agreement with my parents.

I see where they came from.

First of all, there're a LOT of posts that I need to catch up on!
Lol. :)

On another random note,
I thought I was pretty sure of what I was going to do.
And was really happy I found my way.
I guess it's just slightly different for Asian parents
and I honestly do get where they're coming from.

They're worried for my future prospects and what it'll be like
in the next.. 10 years
when I finally head out to earn a living.

And psychology really isn't one of the safest courses with the maximum amount
of job opportunities.

Maybe I'm just naive to think that,
"Hey, I know I can do it. I'll definitely get a job. I'm different".

But my parents are the ones with the experience
and what it's truly like in the real world.

I really don't want to disappoint them, nor do I want to disobey them.
I stand by my principles that
parents really do know what's best.

I try not to against their word and take into account all of what they try to say to me.
But.. dad doesn't seem to be listening to my point of view.

I'm not interested in whatever he seems to be wanting me to do.
Accounting? Commerce? Finance?
It's not that I'm against it but I feel that I'm really weak
in that area of study.

I mean, I agree that those really are the safest courses
and the best at establishing yourself for a job in any field.

And a wise man once told me that, the most competitive field is the best to be in.
You not only gain a LOT of experience but you truly see what it's like.
In addition to the amount of $$ you get.

Siggh.

I mean, I've honestly never had dreams or aspirations before.
This may be the first and only time I do.

Throughout the years, I've just gone with the flow
and it has worked out great!

But I guess, I feel like it's time for me to set a mark of my own.
I want to be a psychologist.
I may or may not have my own business,
but I would love to be in that sort of field.

Through a company (corporate or private),
social services,
a volunteering personel,
I'll do my best at what's thrown at me.

The line between ambition and naivety,
is slowly blurring for me.

But I'll tell you one thing,
Commerce, Finance and Accounting is NOT a field for me.

I'll do anything EXCEPT the above.

I know it may sound as though I'm giving up even before trying
but, it's just some of the things that you know.
You feel it.

I guess my primary aim is to help people.
Not financially but at a personal level.

I feel that, that's how I'd really work at my full potential.

I know both mum and dad are really worried
and dad's getting his close friends to talk to me to "discourage" me.
But it makes me want to show them all the more.

I'll be the exception.

I'll be one of the few.

I mean, logically, everything's difficult.
It just depends on how your outlook on it is.
There may be probabilities and statistics as to how things may work out
but there are always exceptions.

Is it really just naivety talking?
Or pure, heart-felt ambition?

I'm not so sure anymore.

Why can't I have a better argument?

Everything is moving too fast.
It's already the end of the year. :(

I've only just begun settling in
and now I'm going to have to pick myself up
and start afresh.

I'm not even sure if my three week holiday

Anyways, my mum and I went for High Tea at the
Windsor Hotel and that's what happened.

Doesn't killing their leader stir up more hatred?

Who is to say that he IS the guy?

He managed to disappear and hide away for TEN (10) years.
Wouldn't he be smarter than that?

I really am not on any side here
and I really don't know how much this means to the citizens
who really needed this closure
but does killing another man really make a difference?

I totally agree that what he did and
what he's been doing is COMPLETELY wrong.
But not all people are born that way.
He was just misled.
WAY out of the tracks.

The way the world is nowadays seems VERY disheartening.
I feel really crushed by how the world is.

If only it could be changed.

Melbourne Museum with Lex and Dree! :)

Haha! I kid, I kid :)
Since we're all still students, Lexis, Dree and I had a free pass to the museum! :)
It's pretty darned big and we missed a couple of places.

But really, the one thing we truly missed out on was
TUTANKHAMEN Exhibition.
It was like for a limited time only and all the tickets to view it were sold out :(
So we're planning to go another day again :)

We didn't take THAT many pix at the museum coz'
some exhibitions didn't allow photographs to be taken, sooo yeah.

We went to the Science and Evolution part first and spent a couple of hours there
which then brought us to The Wild. :)

It's one of her express meals. :)
Really was expressed! Took it out from the freezer after 15mins
and it was set!

The first pavlova I've EVER seen was from Sher May (a junior from school)'s
flog? (Food Blog).
Omggg. It looked sooo. . .

We were soooo OVERloaded on chocolates.

By the time we finished the lasagna. We were STUFFED.

and the other dessert was cut into cubes.

All in all, not badddd! :)

P.S. Poor Lex. She tried to save the yolks from the pavlova to make
mayo. But, let's just put it as it didn't turn out right in the end
and became watery, scrambled eggs.

Haha! Kinda wasn't her fault.
She was talking to us and left the gas still on. Sooo yeah. :)

Moomba Festival 11'

Let me tell you all a little story :)

On the 13th of March which was a Sunday night,
the Moomba Festival was being held throughout the weekend
and the closing ceremony was on a Monday.

Anyway, as we were all getting ready to head to Federation Square,
it began to rain, then pour.
Most of us nearly backed out and wanted to head home
but we thought, "we came all the way, may as well get wet".

So that's when everything became excitingggg! :P

The expression on Maria's face says it all.
"Huh? We're still goingggg?"
(Look at how wet the ground is behind her. . .)

This was the first ride we took. :) And I forgot what it's called but
FARNY things happened here.
Firstly, Audrey and I sat together while Lexis sat with Irina.

Normal people'd just leave their slippers and what not on the platform
but nooooo, Alexis sat on hers.
Well, Dree did too, but nothing happened to her.

ANYWAY, after the ride, we all saw Lexis searching high and low for something
but we had NO idea what.

Yes. Lexis lost her shoe.

Since only the 4 of us sat on the ride, the rest saw her shoe flying to God knows where
and we were ALL laughing.
Poor Lexis.
So we tried to help her look for it but it just disappeared.

But it was seriously funny.
So she continued the day without her shoes.

We ended up in front of this booth waiting for Irina, coz' as we were looking for
Lexis' shoe, she was taking pictures, and she thought
we were all heading back to the city to buy her a pair of shoes,
so yeaah.

Waiting patiently until,
SUPER jakun Lexis thought I really wanted to play this game
so she went up to the nice man and paid him $5.

I was like. . .

#1 - I do love playing carnival games, but that's ONLY when I know I can win it.
#2 - It's usually all a con to make yr money.
#3 - Alexis is crazy.
#4 - Make sure she doesn't know your likes and dislikes and what kind of person you are.

SO ANYWAY.

I was pressured into playing that basketball game where the hoop was pretty high up.
With $5 I could only get 2 shots.
So I before taking my chances, I just watched other people go ahead.
The nice man manning the booth was basically teaching this married man
how to shoot. He was saying to aim higher and loop it.

But knowing guys and their egos, the guy wasn't listening.
So typically, he missed both shots.
But the dude manning the booth was like,
Here's one more free shot, your first was your trial.

It was then my turn.
Before doing anything, I asked the guy,
"Does this mean I get a trial shot too?"
And he said sure. :)

The first I missed (WAY off).
The second touched the rim.
Already I was feeling super pressured coz' crazy Lexis paid for it,
I was like Damn la. Have to get it in. HAVE TO!

Then the genius went up to the man to give him $10 and I was like,
"What the!? LEXIS! I still have one more shot!"
And pushed her away back to the rest of them.

Back to that moment of concentration.
Breathe in, breathe out.
JUMP!

WOOHOOOOO!
(Actually, my expression's more of a "Stoopid, Lexis". . :P)

Hahha! I know. My expression doesn't say WOOHOOOOO
because! After it went in and everyone was like whoaa!
And clapping. I don't know WHY they were clapping.
Damn retarded.

Then I went back to them and was like, Lexis,
go pick your stoopid prize.

And she was like No, Jaccc. You won it so you pick it!
Omgg. So much drama just getting her to pick her prize :P

In the end she and Maria chose the Teddy Bear.
And I think we brought business for the guy coz we were all arguing
as to who should pick it.

And Lexis asked the guy to announce my name to everyone for getting
the ball in at the last shot.

UNcool.

But I'm glad it brought people to his booth la.
I mean, it was still drizzling so not many people were there.

So that's the story as to how I got my Teddy :P
If you see that picture more closely,
the teddy bear's actually dirty.

Wanna know why?
As we were arguing, I threw the bear to Lexis coz'
she paid for it, so she deserved it.
Totally not knowing her, she didn't catch it. . . .

And it fell to the muddy ground.

Great job, Lex! :P

After the whole bear thing, we went on more rides,
took pictures and basically had LOTSA funnn! :)

Chris, Jason, Maria, Hillary, Frank, Me, Irina and Dreee!

Before we knew it, the day got dark and we got food and sat by
Yarra River to wait for the fireworks. :)

Oh yeah, towards the end,
I overheard a little boy asking his parents if he could
ride on one of the rides but they said no.

Not as in, "No coz' it's a waste of money, but more of a
No son, we're just here to watch the fireworks and well,
we're sorry we can't afford it" sorta tone. :(

And the kid was TOTALLY understanding!
Not like other kids who would, throw a tantrum and start crying.

So I turned around and was like,
Ehhh, here you go kid! :)
You get a free bear for not being able to ride on the ride :)

Damn, to see his face. Wooh. :')
His mum was pretty grateful.

Not like I actually needed/wanted the bear anyway. :)
It's like paying $5 for a priceless moment :)

OH, just so you know, I sneaked back $5 into Lexis' purse :P

Well, before heading home, Lexis still hadn't lost hope in her shoe
and we all headed back to the ride.

And to our surprise, she FOUND it at the 'Lost and Found' area!
Hahhaha! Damn weih.

It was a great day :)

we headed to the Botanical Gardens. :P

A New Year's Eve Tradition

Today's the 1st of January 2011

Damn that was lame :P

Anyway, this is what I do every new year's eve
and I truly LOVE it :)

Firstly, my family and I will have an AWESOME home made dinner.
Every year's different.
Last year was chicken chop with mashed potatoes.
Mmmm. *drool*

This year, we had a funky spin off. :P
We had sushi take aways,
with those Japanese beans
and pork chop
with broccoli
and gigantum scallops! :)

Some home made. Hahah!

But honestly, I just enjoy eating with the family.
Though there are silences through our meals,
the bond between one another
is just
indescribable :)

So that's how I spend New Year's Eve.
Every year.
And I hope that NEVER changes.

The Life of a Taxi Driver

So even though I still have papers to sit for,
my mum still wanted me to get my Visa done.

So we left the house at about 12-ish pm,
hoping not to be caught during the prayer jam.

Instead, when we got hold of the first cab, the driver was like
"Oh, cannot, cannot! K.L. Too far. I might miss my prayers!"

This went on for another 2-3 cabs.
Then we saw another one heading our way and as lucky as we were,
he told us to come in.

I swear to Buddha! He looked nearly like Tok Janggut! :P
But his beard was black and straggly.

Something like that. But way WAY longer.
And he looked slightly younger.
I dunno why but, it's not that I felt disgusted or anything but he kept scratching it
so yeaah. Haha! And it echoes through the cab.
You get my picture! :P Haha.

Anyways, my mum and I were worried and we asked him about his prayers
coz' the city's usually jammed
like
ALL the time.

So he said "It's okayy. If I miss the Friday prayers which is at 1.20-ish pm,
I have to replace it with another prayer at 1.30pm on the same day or following week"

And then he started explaining how it works
and my mum was more intrigued and she asked him
why women aren't allowed to head there on Friday during that time
and he said, those were the rules and it was pretty much not right.

SO anywayy.

One thing led to another and he started talking about how things were changing
and why people in Korea (meaning the North and South) can't get along
and why we Malaysians with all races can.

Then he said that it's sad that kids nowadays "takde hormat" (no more respect)
towards their country and everything.
He even said that some don't even know our National anthem
which is pretty shameful.

Then he started singing it with pride
he ACTUALLY sang the Negaraku in the cab.
*respect yo! :P*

He talked about ALOT of things.
Like Unity, People are responsible for what they do,
Respect.

But in the end, what pulled a heart string of mine
was basically life of a taxi driver.
I mean, he didn't talk about his life,
but he just talked about it in general saying that
if he had RM 10 000.

He'd stop driving and balik kampung.
Rare a few cows and chickens.
Make some money and live comfortably.

There are sooo many taxis out there being over produced.
The government doesn't set a certain limit to release the cabs out in the streets
so there's competition between cab drivers.

Did you know that he makes LESS than RM100 a day?

He stays up till 5am and starts the morning again at 6.30am?

He has a family to feed.

And he's only 53 years old.

He can't even take money out of his EPF in case of emergencies.

And he has only RM60 000 in his EPF for him to live comfortably.

But in a way, he didn't complain that much.
He really seemed as though he was the type of person to stick through this till the end.
He did construction work before which made him earn good money
but age caught up to him.

Being a cab driver is a hard, hard life.
You don't just sit around and drive anywhere you like.
It's a job where whatever money you earn is what you get.

I really did feel for him as he was aging pretty fast and seemed pretty tired.

Life is hard.

But we should never give up trying to make it easier.

I really did learn something from him today.

And I truly am grateful for everything.

And well, it makes me really respect people who encourage one another

That eating episode where they continuously encouraged one another.
Never swearing and evidently NEVER putting the blame on each other.

Sure, they came in last in that leg but lucky for them, it was a non-elimination round.

It's not that I find it unfair.
Maybe I do deserve it.

But I really want to cherish every moment.
I mean, how often do you see this happening?
In movies, real life?

I only get to see all of you once a month and if I'm lucky, twice!
Before we know it, we'd be drifting apart.
Heading overseas, staying here.

Trust me.
We are definitely going to be busy with our own lives.
Even though today was short lived, I had fun :)
One hour made my day hanging with all of you, seriously.

I always, ALWAYS look forward to spending time and catching up with you all :)
Not like I'm studying right now right?
If I were there, I'd be stimulating my creativity skills trying to draw "Ejection Seat"
Hahah! :)

I think I would've tried to draw a James Bond car,
just like how I imagined drawing Ben Franklin in my head even though the card only said Money.

It's nearly the ending of the year and I'm scared.
I never EVER want to lose any of you.

Basketballing.
Potlucks.
Dinners.

It's already Mid-October.
I'll be tied up till the end of December.
And if things work out well, I'd be gone by February.

But you'd all be back at school,
starting college in January,
heading to Uni.

Basically, all I'd like to say is
I'm truly grateful that we're family :)

I wouldn't have chosen ANYONE else :)
(Not like I had a choice, right?) :P

But seriously.

Okay, I actually have a couple of posts before this but
I'm kinda lazy to update.

All I wanted to say was.
I found it really sweet that when my class was too packed,
this dude had to sit at some weird uncomfortable position
& the ones who came to replace apologized to him.
You know what he said after saying it's okay?
Oh, it's not your fault. :)

I know it's not much. But it made me have a lot of respect for him :)
Sure it may seem like a little thing but
you don't seem to find that integrity in people any more.

Anyways! I'm gonna go and watch the
Commonwealth Games with my mummy & daddy!

My HARIMAU team :)

It's still quite hard to believe that we won the House Cup. :)
Harimau hasn't been winning it for a couple of years.
But we finally did it :)

I think we, the Form 5s held it together all the way.
Supporting each other non-stop, sharing ideas,
dividing and conquering.

I'm sure all the houses did the same thing but, I guess we had that
"bond"? Hhaha! :)

Sejarah (History) Lesson, 125 days to SPM.
The funniest thing happened today.

As usual, most people tend to doze of during this lesson,
I mean, who can blame them? It's not that the teacher is boring,
it's just that, the subject is so dry!

I mean, it's cool to learn about the past
but past politics?
Would it really affect our lives, right now?
Not that I have anything against politics and all.

Anywayy, our dearest friend,
Alexandra Yoong Li Ann

tends to fall asleep.
Most of the time in class. Which is mostly not usually her fault.

Back to the story.

We were listening to our teacher, describe enthusiastically as to what
important topics were asked in the chapter.

And suddenly, she stopped and said
"Whoever feels that by sitting down, they can't stay awake, please stand up."

I mean, most of us would just sit up straight and listen.

But nooooo.

Ms. Yoong here stood up. Slowly.
Unsure of what was happening.
Everyone in class started laughing like nobody's business
when she asked her friend Audrey why she was standing. :P

The story behind it was when our teacher said it,
Audrey (the one sitting next to her),
nudged Alexandra to wake up.
But instead, she thought she got caught for sleeping and stood up instead.

Even our teacher found it funny.
But in the end, we cut Alex some slack and we told her to sit down.
But she was still pretty confused.
Not her fault. :) Sejarah is a pretty baffling subject.

HAHA! This day shall be marked in history. :)

My Wannabe Commonwealth Essay :P

Title : A ‘Eureka Moment’.

I’m sure we have all had our ‘Eureka’ moments. Ones like mixing peaches and onions in a mixture to get rid of feet odour in the book titled Holes, or when Archimedes proclaimed “Eureka”! after he stepped into his bathtub and noticed that the water level rose and understood the concepts of volume and how the amount of water displaced is equal to the part of his body submerged into the tub.

‘Eureka’ basically is an explanation used as an interjection to celebrate a discovery. The word actually comes from Ancient Greek, which basically says “I have found it!”.

Well, here’s my story on a ‘Eureka’ moment, but not at my expense. Don’t worry, it’s not as if I’d say my mum lost her car keys and look! Eureka! There they are, the whole time!

My story is about my Uncle Jimmy who always had a knack for making a variety of dishes for the family. At any gathering, he’d come up with a new concoction of spices and herbs to go with the vegetables and poultry. He had been trying for years, decades even, to find out that special other ingredient his mother had used ages back before she passed on. She never did pass down the recipe as during her time, things were never measured. It was all based on how the food tasted. For instance, after testing a spoonful of her soup, she’d know whether there was enough salt, pepper or even if it needed some other addition like thyme and it would taste absolutely perfect.

We never really needed to go out much as the home cooked food tasted as heavenly as flying over the red seas to any 5 Star Restaurant in the world. It was as if we had our own private chef at home. But of course after the divine treat, my siblings and I were the “domestic help” aka the cleaners and we had to wash up after the gourmet meal. We didn’t have much to complain as our grandma used very limited amounts of oil in her cooking, so the cleaning up was pretty simple.

But soon after, Grandma started getting pretty ill, especially since she’d always been putting others before her health. Before we knew it, she was gone. Out of our lives. It was as if a boulder had hit the family. Affecting all of us, rock hard. Everything in our lives had changed. How we looked at things. How we saw things. It had all changed. Every time we ate, it reminded us of her but no one’s cooking could ever match our Grandma’s. It was as if we’ve lost part of our tasting buds.

Years after that incident, no one had dared to try making Grandma’s favourite recipe which was the basic Chicken Soup with a touch of something which we all couldn’t seem to grasp upon. Every time we tried guessing the secret ingredient, she’d say it’s wrong and that she was never going to tell us.

Argh! I have no idea why but I've been feeling so,
angry? frustrated? sad? shocked? annoyed?

Everything doesn't seem to be working out.
I'm so sick and tired of things.

Is it true that people only respect you if you're knowledgeable?
Just like that Malay poem about knowledge.
It asks you about your opinion about people who have wisdom
and how they are looked upon by the public.

They are respected, looked up by people, acknowledged.
So, how? How about those who aren't?

Are they despised secretly? Made fun of? Ignored?
Whatever they say or do isn't respected?

How am I going to get through life if I'm more street smart than book smart?
What then?

It's true that I shouldn't be giving excuses but what if?

I don't know anymore. Maybe I'm PMS-ing. Who knows.
Plus I'm hungry.
So as the saying goes "A hungry man is an angry man".

I've been quite irritable recently. And I find it unfair.
Especially towards the people around me.
It's selfish of me to be so impatient.

Studies have shown that if you get annoyed easily,
it means that your neurons are slowly decreasing, making you feel
angry and impatient.

Oh well.
Hopefully tomorrow's a better day.
Oh! Did I tell you, we're celebrating Mr. Sheat's belated birthday tomorrow.

People say to enjoy school life while we're still at it as the real world would be harsh on us.

But the truth?

It's already happening to us, and it's not because of the other kids. We actually know what happened/happens.

If you don't nurture kids or us from this age, whenever will we learn the sense of
fairness?
When would we learn that people DO deserve what they've done
and NOT based on how WELL they're fairing?

Is this really how we should be brought up?
Really?
Gee, if that's the case, I pity the rest of the kids
as I'm pretty lucky to have wonderful parents who have thought me the
BASICS of being a good person.
Fair, honest, dedicated, reliable, responsible.

Aren't these all supposed to be instilled not ONLY in the home but OTHER places as well?
I'm actually pretty disappointed in more ways than others.

But knowing this, I'm sure NOTHING will change.
So I guess this is pretty much the only way to let off some steam for me.
Knowing that if it DOES get brought up, it'll bring
MORE complications and drama than necessary.

If it hasn't affected you yet, then great :)
Keep it that way.

It's just saddening that it ALWAYS happens. sigh.

"I could have screamed but I didn't. My heart was beating so fast, I swear it was creeping up to my throat. God, it started so badly. Stats was survivable but Econs was disastrous. What is up with Real Madrid and taking players from United?
But Rooney's already set his mind that he's staying @ United.
Unlike Ronaldo who already said that it was pretty much
his dream to move to Real. And he got his cue.

If Rooney does plan to move. I'd bid him farewell and call him an idiot.
But I doubt he'd do it. He's pretty much one of the TOP players in the
world in the MOST successful club EVER!

I think that if he does move, he's name'll no longer be recognized.
I mean, look at Ronaldo now! His name doesn't seem to appear in the
papers as often as he did earlier on after his move.

I think now some people have no idea who Ronaldo is!

Where's One Malaysia?

Why is it such a big problem?

Read the above, and you'll see my meaning to the first line.

Why is this happening?

What seriously happened to One Malaysia?

Okay, listen me out first before anything happens to me, or this blog. Truthfully, I'm just wondering why this happened. I'm still a kid. So, I actually don't fully understand what's happening, so please please explain to me.

My question is. Why is it a problem to have a temple, roughly about, 500metres away from a mosque? I'm just wondering. That's it. But, in my opinion, due to freedom of speech, what happened to "perpaduan"?, unity?, togetherness?? Why are these things happening?

Did this happen when Tunku Abdul Rahman was Perdana Menteri? No, I don't think so. I mean, we fought so hard for our country. & this happens? I mean, sure it was what, 52 years ago. But, imagine this. What if this situation, happened back then? Then what? Put yourselves in his shoes. Think about the disappointment.

Is this how you'd like the future generation to see you as? That we're actually all different races, cultures and colours? And NOT Malaysians? Really? Because that's seriously not what I thought I grew up in. I thought I grew up in a country which accepted me for who I am. For what I'm going to and will do for my country. How would you expect "us" to come back to our country? To come back to this? How are "we" supposed to earn a living like this? Okay, maybe I am narrow-minded. But. I really don't understand.

To tell you the truth, I really do love the people, the food and the Malaysian living and I'd never want to leave it. But, by the way things are turning out to be, it's disappointing me, little by little, day by day. No matter what happens. I'd like you to know, that I'd still be proud to wear my name and flaunt about, that I'm a true Malaysian.

Why is it, that the choices we make in life, determines our future?

Why is it that people say to always "stop and smell the roses" but rush you on saying, "what are you doing, wasting your time like that?"?

Why is it that people rush you into getting a goal in life, for example, a career, when you're only 16 just so you could feel more secure and have an aim, but instead, you're even more lost and scared?

Why is it that people tell you to make the right choices but hurry up or else it's too late?

So, Yup. I guess, that's how I feel right now.

The Football Fever's Back!

As you all know, Barclays Premier League is BACK!!
(normal lay man's term, FOOTBALL)
It's not that I know much about it, and that I'm an addict?
But, I just listen around I guess.
And pretty much watch MOST of the Man Utd matches :D

ANYWAYS! The little kids in my form, aka the guys were super hyped
as the season was nearing, and was pretty much preparing their teams for the
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE!!!
Basically, it's a site where you can put any footballer in to make the "Dream Team"
thus, it's called "Fantasy".
So yea, you can mix the players about.
The points are added up daily after a day's match, i think.
And you get added points if your player scores and starts off the game.
But deducted when he gets a red or yellow card.

That pretty much all I know, coz', I mean,
I'm okay with football and all, but, to watch every match and to check how my
"Fantasy" Players are doing, is pretty much, too freelah!
Not that I'm saying it's a waste of time, but more like
"Hey, it's up to you, do what you like. Your time, not mine"
And it's more like a guys' thing,
not that it's not a girls' thing,
Kudos to whichever girl who's in it, to win it :)

ANYWAYS! My point is, here are a few of my friends I found on Fantasy League.
It took me half and hour to search okay!

I'm sorry it's really blur :S I'm not that tech savvy.

But this is what it is like the second last.

Let's see, what did I do today?
Okay, the day before (it being Saturday morning)
I was on the way to Ipoh to celebrate Grandmama's Birthday Dinner.
So, I guess Sunday would be the journey home.
I wouldn't say it was the most interesting thing in my life.

But, more like the most peaceful and relaxing.
And those.
Ahhh.. This is what I need from my hectic week, moments.
You, see, I'm one of those weird people, or teenager,
who LOVES spending time with the family.
I really dislike, getting out of the house. (Yup, told you I'm weird)
So I actually love long distance journeys, no matter how long they take.
As long as it's with family.
The reason being.
I have this sense of togetherness.
The sense of always having my family with me no matter what happens.

Although nothing is said during the journey,
the car always seems overwhelmed with love,
as cliche as it sounds, and as "jiwang" (corny) as it is of me,
that's how I feel. To know that, they care.
They always have and that they always will.

I just love having the sense of security wash over me.
So, yes. I love my family, no matter what.
Who doesn't?

Grandmama's Birthday!

My Ah Poh (Grandma)!

This wonderfully, cool, patient, loving, VERY healthy and FIT, woman.
Is 92 years old, but in the Chinese Calendar, she's 93.
She doesn't look it, does she.

She raised 9 kids. Not on her own. With my Kung Kung (Grandpa)
but, sadly he passed away when I was 4 years old.
So I barely have any memories of him.
But what I know is that he used to be the chief of the neighbourhood
back in Bercham, Ipoh. And he was deeply respected.
He even had a picture taken of him shaking
Tunku Abdul Rahman's hand.
Cool, huh?

It sucks a little bit for me, that I've never quite known my grandpa's from both sides.
As the one from my mother's side, passed on before I was even born.
And the only thing I knew about him, was that he was a lovable English lecturer
back in his days. There were very few of those back then.
Well, I'm grateful, that I still have two grandma's with me.
And I'd never trade the world for them. :)

Anyways, Ah Poh! Although you don't understand English,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :D
